Members only event: We are looking forward to gathering outdoors for a guided hike of a portion of the Monches Segment of the Ice Age Trail in honor of Earth Week!

The total Segment is 3 miles in length and has 2 bridges going over the Oconomowoc River and very is very scenic!  We will plan on turning around at the half-way point to keep the hike to 3 miles but more experienced hikers are welcomed to extend their hike in length if they’d like to.  Monches is located north of Hartland at County Line Road (Hwy Q) at the border of Waukesha/Washington Counties.

Start time: 10:00am
Location: Ice Age Trail – Monches Segment trail head – Just west of Monches at intersection of County Line Road (Hwy Q) and County Hwy K
Parking:  Parking lot just north of trail head on County Hwy K (see map)

A few pointers:
Wear hiking boots or shoes with good support, since this is a rough trail with trip hazards
Ticks are out – you may want to dress in long sleeves and bring repellant
Many hikers wear a day pack or backpack to carry water, repellent, rain jacket, etc.
